IN SITU

My fundamental intuitions, my first inspirations come from my contact to immediate reality and my apprehension of the visible world and are first these of a painter.

The education training i received opened my mind to a holistic comprehension of three-dimensional space, of its light and colour but also gave me a holistic comprehension of time.

After practicing painting, drawing, collage and engraving for a long time, I tried out a three-dimensional work, halfway between low relief and sculpture, with various materials (plexiglass, wood, metal, resin, industrial paintings...).

Afterwards, my works focused on the study of the real perspective and the artificial light, either with dynamic ways drawn on glass plates or blurred drawings on plexiglass in lightbox.

From 1999, these technical approaches led me to numerical technologies and their new esthetic. Thus I gradually gave up the colour-matter to work on the colour-light.

Like the poet said : "The artistic challenge of the 21st century will be between man and machin"..
